Recording of “Valentine” coming soon!
Heretic Opera has been hard at work editing and mixing the recording of “Valentine.” Look for it to be released sometime in mid-late 2012. In the meantime, you can check out some behind-the-scenes videos from our sessions and rehearsals on the Heretic Opera website and YouTube channel. Stay tuned!
Commission with BRASS IN BLUE
December 3, 2011: I have been commissioned by the brass ensemble Brass in Blue to write a new work for their ensemble, to be premiered January 2013. Brass in Blue is a select chamber ensemble of members from the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band, based in Omaha, NB.
Unwinding Time, upcoming multiple performances
February 17-25, 2012: Unwinding Time will be performed by oboist Krista Riggs at the John Wright Theater (Fresno, CA). All performances are at 8:0o pm except for a Sunday matinee on February 19th at 2:00 pm.
Pulse Mutations, upcoming performance
March 7, 2012: Pulse Mutations will be performed by the Indiana University Symphony Orchestra in Bloomingon, IN.
Visionary, upcoming premiere
March 8, 2012: The Fresno State Wind Orchestra will be premiering Visionary at the Concert Hall at Fresno State. It will also be performed at the College Band Directors National Association conference in Reno, NV on March 17, 2012.
September Midnight, upcoming premiere
April 12, 2012: The Fresno State Chamber Singers will be premiering September Midnight at the Clovis Performing Arts Center.
