Learn to Compose for Video Games

Kenneth Froelich will be leading CSU Summer Arts’ “The Art of Scoring for Video Games” from July 20 -August 2 online through Fresno State.

In two-week course, students will:

  • use symphonic, popular and chip-tune sound sets to compose music and soundscapes that evolve alongside the action of the game

  • compose music appropriate for both dynamic and cinematic settings within the game environment

  • create exciting and memorable character theme songs using industry-standard software

  • present their music in a public showcase

In addition to Dr. Froelich, the course features instruction from some of the most renowned composers in the industry, including Jason Hays (Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo), Garry Schyman (BioShock), Peter Scaturro (God of War), and Edouard Brenneisen (League of Legends).
